Cure’ of Ars

5th Annual Moms and Pops Tournament
April 16-20, 2012

Tournament Information

New in 2012 – Moms & Dads will both play volleyball! And the winners from each group facing-off on Friday night to determine an overall Cure’ of Ars Champ!

Registration Deadline is Thursday, April 5th

Time for Moms to dig out those volleyball kneepads…and for Dads to borrow ‘em! All parents are invited to join in Cure’s annual fun filled Moms and Pops tournament and celebration party afterwards. All Moms and Dads are needed to make this tournament a success!

Each grade will form one Moms volleyball team and one Dads volleyball team. This is all about FUN!! It doesn’t matter if you haven’t played the sport since you were in grade school. Each team will have a Team Captain from the grade, who will make sure that every parent gets to play and organize the team’s spirit wear/uniform. Team Rosters will be provided to the team captains.

Parents play on the team according to the grade level of their OLDEST child. Parents of preschool and kindergarten students are strongly urged to sign up as well, we always need more players, and the tournament organizers will place you on a team in need.

Each volleyball team will be afforded a practice time at the Cure’ gym starting Sunday, April 15th. The team captain must contact the Commissioner to make those arrangements. Just like in previous years, games will be played throughout the week starting Monday, and children are welcome to come and cheer for their teams! There will be some 8th graders to help with the younger children, but you are still in charge of your own.

Practice schedules, tournament brackets, competition rules (some have changed), waiver and registration forms are all on line for your review online here. Print the required forms and turn them into the office along with your money or check for $15 payable to Cure’ of Ars by April 5th.

Friday evening, April 20th, women’s and men’s championship games will be played, with the winners of each division facing-off, and the winner crowned the Cure’ champion! All parents are invited to a Post-Tournament Party in the Cure’ cafeteria immediately following the championship game. Pizza, beverages and a fun DJ will be provide for this Adults-only party. Championship prizes will be awarded Friday night at the party. If you didn’t play in the tournament but want to enjoy the tournament party, please pay $5 to cover the costs of pizza and beverages.

This fun filled week of camaraderie with Cure’ parents cost only $15. The fee covers the cost of referees, prizes and the post tournament party with DJ.

To register for the tournament, please download the required forms (which includes the registration, player waiver release and parents rules), fill it out and turn in the forms and fees to the Cure’ office by April 5, 2012.
