Volleyball Rules
- UNDERHAND serves only
- All games will be rally scored to 25. The third game will be played fully to 25 points unless the 50 minute time limit is approaching and then the 3rd game would go to 15 points with the winning team still having to win by 2 points.
- Two point margin to win set, cap at 28, best 2 out of 3 games.
- Rotation is left up to the teams. Please allow all those who want to play ample opportunity to do so. Every player should rotate through every position. No ringers remember this is for fun!
- For simplicity, there is no “substitution” of players or positions.
- Remember to play fair with no malicious spikes.
- Each team is allowed one 30-second time out per game.
- To keep games on time, no more than 2 minutes should pass in switching sides. Please help keep us on schedule.
- Total game time lasts 50 minutes or less to stay on schedule.
- If a player is ejected from a game, she is disqualified from playing the rest of the tournament.
- If a team doesn’t have enough players from his team to field a team, Commissioners will work with you to provide subs from other grades.
- Each team is allowed to wear whatever uniform the team chooses.
- If a grade doesn't put together a team, the commissioners reserve the right to fill the team with parish members or from another grade to keep the bracket intact. This will only be done out of necessity and teams may not start recruiting from other grades.
Baseketball Rules
- 4 v 4 (can play with less players), short court basketball, we are attempting to re-arrange the schedule so that the finals can be played full court, if that happens 5 v 5 will be appropriate.
- Man to Man defense, no zone defenses.
- Basketball games have 2 halves, each 20 minutes long.
- There will be a 5 minute half time.
- The clock stops during the last 2 minutes of the second half only.
- Each game needs to be completed in 50 minutes to stay on schedule.
- Each team has 2 timeouts per half that do not carry over if not used.
- Overtime, if needed, is 2 minutes.
- Each team is allowed one 30- second time out per half.
- Teams can press with 2 minutes to go in the game, and in OT.
- Control behavior of your team and check with the scorekeeper on foul counts.
- When play stops, you may substitute players.
